Twitter has launched a new advertising service


The system of short Twitter messages online has launched a beta version of a new advertising service that sends messages to subscribers of brands. It is reported by The Wall Street Journal.

There are currently about 20 percent of Twitter users subscribed to at least one brand.




The first time a new advertising service will be available only for a couple of dozen advertisers, including such companies as Microsoft, Starbucks and Sephora.

According to a study by eMarketer, this year, Twitter will work on advertising $ 150 million, and the next - for 250. For comparison, the same study argues that social network Facebook will work on advertising $ 4 billion in 2011.
